School buildings have to be safe, compliant and affordable to run, and the money to achieve all three is rarely generous. Our job is to make it go as far as it can.
Understand the estate
We start with a full assessment against the School Estate Management Standards: governance and strategic oversight, leadership capacity, operational processes and compliance, financial planning and value for money, estate condition and data quality, and organisational risk. Trusts get a clear view of their maturity level and a prioritised list of gaps.
Plan the spend
From there we build a medium term plan around the funding actually available, and sequence it so the highest risks are dealt with first and the disruption to teaching stays low.
Deliver and review
We procure through compliant routes, run the preconstruction and delivery phases, and hand back a building with the paperwork in order. The plan is then reviewed and updated annually, so the estate strategy stays current rather than sitting in a drawer.
